Danney Edward Ball
A Multifaceted Leader and Advocate for Community and Creativity
Danney Edward Ball’s journey is a testament to determination, creativity, and service. A graduate of a Christian high school, Danney pursued higher education at Mt. Jacinto College, earning his degree in 1972 then he attended La Sierra University. Shortly after, he embarked on an entrepreneurial path, founding a successful monthly magazine and a weekly shopping newspaper.
These ventures flourished and were sold in 1981, enabling him to invest in real estate and pursue his passion for music.
As a talented singer-songwriter, Danney recorded several Country and Gospel music albums and produced music videos, touring extensively across the United States. His work in the music industry reflects his deep faith and commitment to sharing uplifting messages through art.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Danney has been a dedicated community volunteer. He served on a Crisis Hotline, played a pivotal role in establishing the MSJC Alumni Association, and contributed to the Ramona Bowl Music Association Board. As a member of the 3rd Brigade of the United States Volunteers, he demonstrated his commitment to service and leadership. 452
Danney’s dedication to public service extends to politics. In 1972, he ran for the MSJC College Board of Trustees and later sought election as a U.S. Representative for California’s 44th Congressional District. His commitment to advocacy culminated in his candidacy for Governor of California in 2002, where he championed issues important to his community and state.
